Jayden Harris

Jayden completed their undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2022 where they studied poliovirus-host interactions. She was admitted to Emory’s Microbiology and Molecular Genetics (MMG) program in 2024 where she then joined the lab of Dr. Chris Neufeldt. In the Neufeldt lab, their project focuses on characterizing interactions between flavivirus proteins and host proteins to further our understanding of flavivirus replication. This project combines molecular virology and protein biochemistry techniques with the overall goal of identifying conserved virus-host interactions across flaviviruses that could serve as targets for broadly acting antivirals.
