Call for participants: Emory Flourishing at Grady focus groups

As a follow-up, we are conducting separate, 60-minute, virtual focus groups with faculty, learners, APPs, and staff to elicit more in-depth feedback about wellbeing challenges and wellness preferences. Focus group participants will receive $25 gift certificates for their participation in this research project. View dates and more.

Call for new members: Emory Flourishing at Grady advisory group

We invite anyone passionate about fostering wellbeing, resilience, and flourishing to join the Emory Flourishing at Grady Advisory Group, an interprofessional and cross-departmental group of faculty, learners, APPs, and staff. Monthly virtual meetings focus on collaborating on wellbeing initiatives. We aim for broad representation from across Emory at Grady. Your input will help shape a healthier work environment for all. Please email Dr. Nadine Kaslow, to express your interest.

Emory at Grady We Care peer supporter program!

Grady’s We Care peer supporter program is designed to mitigate psychological distress by addressing vicarious traumatization, burnout, and compassion fatigue - challenging experiences that can stem from being part of the fast-paced, high-pressure healthcare environment, marked by frequent exposure to trauma, distinct stressors, and limited opportunities for reflection and processing.

We are beginning the process of training Emory at Grady faculty, APPs, house staff, and staff to become peer supporter representatives of the Emory at Grady community through the We Care umbrella. Emory at Grady We Care peer supporters can respond to colleagues’ acute needs by connecting with and supporting peers as they navigate the challenges of working in our health care system, offering a safe space to be heard, and facilitating conversations focused on well-being strategies and available resources.

The first virtual We Care peer supporter training will take place on Thursday, February 27th, from 4–5:30 PM. To express your interest in becoming a peer supporter, please email Dr. Nadine Kaslow.
