Dear colleagues, 

 

At the heart of our work is a commitment to preparing the next generation of physicians and scientists and to providing the highest standard of care to our patients. That work depends on faculty who give their time, expertise and compassion to others. 

 

Today, we celebrate the faculty recognized through the Dean’s Teaching, Mentoring, Preceptor of the Year and Inclusive Excellence awards. We also recognize clinicians honored for clinical innovation and leadership across our affiliated health care sites. 

 

New this year, the Advocacy Award recognizes faculty members who have made a significant contribution to advocacy in science, health care or education, using their knowledge, voice and action to advance meaningful change. 

 

These honors reflect the many ways faculty shape the experiences of our learners, patients and colleagues. Through teaching and mentorship, you help our learners develop not only the knowledge and skills they need but also the curiosity, empathy and sense of responsibility that define a life in medicine. Through patient care, clinical innovation and advocacy, you use your expertise and voice to improve health and strengthen the communities we serve. 

 

Thank you for the care you show our patients, the investment you make in our learners and the example you set for colleagues across the School of Medicine. Your contributions are essential to who we are and to the future we are building together.
