Research Areas

Our faculty consist of clinical and basic science investigators who conduct a broad range of basic, translational and clinical research on a variety of human malignancies. Through novel discoveries, we are leading the way to a better understanding and improved detection and treatment of cancer.

Fellowship Program

The Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship Program offered by Emory University School of Medicine and Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University provides clinical and research training in hematology and medical oncology.

Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University

Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University is Georgia's only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center and serves as the coordinating center for cancer research, education and care throughout Emory University.

Upcoming Symposium

The Winship Gastrointestinal Cancer Symposium provides expert review of the latest procedures, technology, and medical treatments for patients with gastrointestinal cancer. National guidelines will also be reviewed. Additionally, there will be case-based discussions incorporating multi-disciplinary care approaches, novel, recently FDA-approved drugs, and clinical trial eligibility.

The 13th annual Winship Gastrointestinal Cancer Symposium will be held on October 12, 2024 at the JW Marriott Atlanta Buckhead. Registration is open. Contact Program Coordinator Richard Marshall via email for more information.
