ECT Treatment/Observations held in the Neuromodulation Service suite at Wesley Woods Hospital
12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m.
Lunch with faculty and discussion of cases
1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Overview of ECT including indications for ECT, contra-indications, appropriate work up, response rates, relapse rates and maintenance strategies including maintenance ECT. This session will also cover the requirement and strategies for developing an effective ECT service
7:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon
Evaluation and work-up of an ECT Consultation
Focal neuromodulation in treatment-resistant depression (TRD)

The course is structured for psychiatrists interested in the therapeutic efficacy of ECT and the procedures for the administration of ECT.
This program is sponsored by the Department of Psychiatry, Emory University School of Medicine.
Each fellowship is limited to 4 psychiatrists in order to personalize the individual's experience. Dates are scheduled year round per student request and faculty availability.
All fees must accompany the registration form. The tuition includes lunch, one-on-one training with an instructor and other amenities which make this a rewarding learning experience. Enrollment will be limited to four registrants. Cancellation 14 days prior to the program will be refunded less a $50 administrative fee.
The Emory University School of Medicine designates this continuing medical education activity for 18 credit hours for the three-day sessions. Credit hours are Category 1 of the Physician’s Recognition Award of the American Medical Association. Each attendee should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
The sessions will be held at Wesley Woods Hospital, 1821 Clifton Road, NE, and 12 Executive Park Drive NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30329. Both locations are located near the Emory University campus.
