Spring 2012 the Emory Alzheimer's Disease Research Center will offer a new class, The Savvy Caregiver. This six-week class was developed and tested while Dr. Ken Hepburn, Emory ADRC Education Core leader was at the University of Minnesota. The Savvy Caregiver program teachers special skills and knowledge that are important in caregiving.
The Emory Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center has developed a series of three classes to provide education and support throughout the disease course. The goal of these classes is to provide the information people need about what to expect and how to plan ahead. Although each individual with the disease will have a unique experience based on many individual factors, there is a great deal of information available about the overall course of the disease.
