Chad Ritenour Appointed Chief Medical Officer of EUH

Chad Ritenour, MD, Professor of Urology and Vice Chair of Education and Faculty Affairs for Emory Urology, has moved from his former role as Associate Chief Medical Officer of Emory University Hospital (EUH) to full CMO of the facility. This position was formerly occupied by Ira Horowitz, MD, John D. Thompson Professor and Chair of Gynecology and Obstetrics, who has assumed the role of Executive Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs and Professional Development for Emory University School of Medicine.
Shortly after joining Emory Urology in 2001, Dr. Ritenour became Director of the Division of Men's Health and Infertility. He quickly developed the program into the premier urological wellness service for men in Atlanta and the surrounding state of Georgia, as well as patients from neighboring states and other countries. In addition to male infertility, the program offers comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sexual dysfunction and prostatic conditions.
Dr. Ritenour is highly devoted to teaching and mentoring medical students, urology residents, post-graduate fellows, and junior faculty members, and has contributed considerably to building one of the most sought after residency training programs in the United States. Every year, approximately 300 medical graduates compete for the three residency positions offered by Emory Urology.
