Overview
The Emory Urology Opportunity Scholarship is available to fourth-year undergraduate medical students, regardless of race, national origin, or sex, who are United States citizens or permanent residents. This scholarship is intended to support interested students in a visiting rotation with an award amount of $1,500.
Applicants are selected on the following criteria:
- Have overcome significant economic or cultural adversity,
- Have demonstrated a commitment to working with underserved populations, AND/OR
- Have documented dedication to working to overcome barriers to inclusion in medical professions and/or access to healthcare services fora underserved communities.

Application Requirements
Applicants are required to submit a curriculum vitae (CV) along with a personal statement. The personal statement should describe the applicant's career goals, general information, and provide detail on how the applicant meets the criteria listed above. All application materials must be submitted to both emoryurologygme@emory.edu and erbohan@emory.edu.
Application Deadline
The deadline to apply for the opportunity scholarship is April 15th, 2024 for the 2024 VSLO season. The winner will be notified on April 30th, 2024.
