Welcome from the Department
As of November 2024, Dr. Chad Ritenour has resumed the role of Interim Chair of the Department of Urology at the Emory University School of Medicine, marking his second tenure in this leadership position. He previously served as Interim Chair from 2010 to 2013.
Dr. Ritenour’s longstanding commitment to the department is reflected in his distinguished career at Emory. After completing his residency in urology at Emory, he joined the faculty in 2001. He has since held several key leadership roles, including Executive Vice Chair for Faculty Affairs and Education and Chief Medical Officer of Emory University Hospital from 2016 to 2025.
The department looks forward to continuing its tradition of excellence and innovation under Dr. Ritenour’s experienced and dedicated leadership.
