Diffusion-Tensor Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Characterizing Age-Related Changes in Human Muscle and Associations with Muscle Strength
Diffusion-tensor magnetic resonance imaging (DT-MRI) offers objective measures of muscle characteristics, providing insights into age-related changes. We're using DT-MRI to probe skeletal muscle microstructure and architecture, with the aim of characterizing age-related differences and effects on muscle strength. The larger goal is to employ DT-MRI clinically to diagnose and then monitor treatment for age-related muscle changes that lead to functional impairment.
