At the Musculoskeletal Research and Quantitative Imaging Lab, we're re-imagining the way to understand, quantify, and characterize maladies of the musculoskeletal system using advanced imaging. Whether it's performance-related injuries or diseases of the bones, we're advancing new ways to leverage magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and spectroscopy (MRS) to improve the measurement of biomechanical, biophysical, biochemical, metabolic, and functional properties in healthy and diseased musculoskeletal tissues with the goal of enhancing diagnostic accuracy and disease prognostication to improve treatment and patient outcomes.
