Ajay Rajamaran Subramanian is a graduate student assessing biochemical recurrence of prostate cancer through the analysis of 3D collagen fiber orientation in biopsy data using machine learning. His interest lies in the intersection of AI and medicine.
Ajay previously worked in Dr. Francisco Robles's lab, where he focused on developing a robust image-based autofocusing system for UV microscopy. Additionally, he contributed to the development of a deep learning algorithm designed to detect spicules in bone marrow aspirations using images captured from bedside deep UV microscopy.
Ajay completed his master's degree in biomedical engineering from the Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering of Emory and Georgia Tech. He currently is pursuing a PhD in electrical and computer engineering at Georgia Tech.
