Dr. Sirvan Khalighi is an instructor and senior research associate in the Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Emory and Georgia Tech.
He earned his PhD in computer engineering from the University of Coimbra, Portugal, where his research focused on developing machine learning algorithms for biomedical applications. Dr. Khalighi then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center, Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), where he focused on high-throughput genomic analysis of cancers.
His current research at Emory integrates artificial intelligence, pathology, and cancer genomics, with a particular emphasis on developing multiomics frameworks to enhance prognostic predictions and personalized treatment strategies.
