Post-Doctoral Fellow
Dmitri Cherezov is applying his interests in machine learning, neural networks, image processing, radiomics, tumor heterogeneity analysis, and lung cancer diagnosis to a variety of projects for the lab.
First, he is studying impact of HIV on lung cancer and tuberculosis in Tanzanian and Uganda population. He also is parsing biological variability presented in X-ray images as well as technical variability presented in X-ray/CT images.
Dmitri brings a range of experience to his work, most recently as a research associate at Case Western Reserve University. He also spent five years as a research intern with H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute.
Dmitri earned his PhD in computer science from the University of South Florida and a masters degree in intelligent systems from the Universit della Svizzera italiana, Lugano, Switzerland. He earned an undergraduate specialist degree in programming and information technology from Voronezh State University, Voronezh, Russia. His thesis: Methods of Text Indexing with Neural Network.
