About The Quality Team

The Quality Team supports Emory Radiology's quest to be a destination for those who seek excellence and continuous innovation in medical imaging. Quality is essential for achieving Emory Radiology's mission and vision.

Our primary services are quality and process-improvement education, facilitation, and coaching for our faculty, staff, and trainees. This explicitly acknowledges the central role our people play in realizing our department's vision and mission. We focus on clarifying the problems and challenges that we face and then working in teams to solve the problems. Our goal is to leverage the expertise and compassion of all the members of the department to continuously improve the quality of care we deliver.

In addition to facilitating many departmental and site-specific quality and process improvement projects, our team also has responsibility for monitoring metrics and playing a role in regulatory compliance and oversight including policies and procedures development and implementation. 

The mission, vision, and values guiding the Quality Team are both external- and internal-facing and drive toward improved care delivery for our patients and their families, our referring providers and collaborators in care, other Emory School of Medicine departments, and the entire Emory Healthcare enterprise. We drive for optimized capacity, ensured safety, electronic workflows, and just culture. We also support the institutional drivers that recognize the importance of the patient experience, quality/safety, joy in practice, and resource stewardship.
