Emory University's Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences has two medical physics training tracks:
- Medical Physics Imaging Residency Program (24-month program), which is open to applicants, and
- Nuclear Medical Physics Training Program (12-month program), which is not open to applicants at this time.
Our Medical Physics Imaging Residency Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs (CAMPEP).
Requirements and Application Process
Qualified applicants for the Medical Physics Imaging Residency Program must have completed one of the following graduate programs:
1. MS or PhD from a CAMPEP-accredited graduate program, or
2. Certificate program that is CAMPEP-accredited.
Qualified applicants for the one-year training program in Nuclear Medical Physics Training Program, which is not currently recruiting, must satisfy one of the following:
1. Completed a CAMPEP-accredited residency program in diagnostic medical physics, or
2. Have ABR (or similar) certification in diagnostic or therapeutic medical physics.
