For the majority of the year, our department gets together once a week (either in person or via teleconferencing) for Grand Rounds. This series is enriching for our trainees because presenters cover clinical, research, and even administrative topics important to practicing radiologists. Presenters may be from our own department, from another department within Emory, or from another local institution (including non-radiology clinicians).
We additionally host national and internationally renowned Grand Rounds speakers through our Visiting Professor Program. Visiting professors typically are well-known names in radiology. Because they tend to be excellent teachers, Visiting Professors usually participate in two teaching conferences with our diagnostic radiology residents in addition to giving their Grand Rounds presentation.
