The Division of Pediatric Imaging in collaboration with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta provides a comprehensive program for advanced training in pediatric radiology. We train qualified radiologists to be highly competent in all aspects of pediatric imaging so they can serve children in their communities, whether in an academic medical center, a community hospital, or a private practice setting. Meet Our Fellows
Michael Burcescu, MD, Pediatric Imaging Fellow, earned his MD from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. After a transitional year internship with Bayonet Point Regional Medical Center in Florida, he completed diagnostic radiology residency at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center.
Madeline Leo, MD, Pediatric Interventional Radiology Fellow, earned her MD from Pennsylvania State University, where she also completed a general surgery internship. She then completed diagnostic radiology residency and served as chief resident at the University of Pittsburgh.
Veronica Lopez, DO, Pediatric Radiology Fellow, earned her DO from Nova Southeastern University. She completed diagnostic radiology residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Illinois.

Our faculty members are board-certified radiologists with MOC qualifications. Many additionally are subspecialists in areas such as neuroradiology, interventional radiology, musculoskeletal imaging, and nuclear medicine.
