The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences' culture of giving encourages faculty, staff, alumni, patients, and other individuals to provide charitable gifts that support the department’s tripartite mission. The Adopt-A-Resident Program is a testament to the generosity of donors committed to supporting the department's efforts to develop future leaders in radiology and imaging sciences.
Funded by these charitable gifts, the Adopt-A-Resident program encourages first- and second-year residents to submit detailed proposals of unique projects that both foster their own career development and also improve radiology resident training. The Adopt-A-Resident Committee reviews proposals once a year and "adopts" or provides funding and mentorship for the most promising proposals.
