We're Glad You're Here

Welcome to This Is Us: Our Voices, Our Journey, where Emory Radiology's faculty, staff, and trainees share their thoughts, experiences, hopes, and fears about certain aspects of their identity. Most months we'll focus on the diversity, equity and inclusion affinity group traditionally celebrated that month; some months will take a different approach to exploring identity. We'll hear from a range of people and invite all members of Emory Radiology to contribute. While we're starting with stories in print, we'll be expanding to include video and audio.

This Is Us: Our Voices, Our Journey is a collaborative effort of the Emory Radiology Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and the Communications and Creative Services Team of Emory Radiology.

June 2022

This quarter, faculty and staff members share personal reflections related to Jewish Heritage Month and Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, both in May, and Pride Month in June.

February 2022

This month our team members explain "I'm proud to be me because . . ." and share what they appreciate about Emory's active commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. Hear from clinical as well as administrative staff and trainees who celebrate their multicultural heritage.

November 2021

Emory Radiology staff and faculty members reflect on their experiences with racial, gender, disability, immigrant, sexual, and even age identity. Reflections include points of pride as well as fears and hopes for diversity, equity, and inclusion.

June 2021

June is Pride Month, so we celebrate our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, non-binary team members, including Dr. Brittany Lewis, who completed her fellowship in emergency and trauma imaging with Emory Radiology and now is an assistant professor specializing in emergency and trauma imaging.
