Annual Diversity Day
Diversity Day recognizes the progress we’ve made on this journey toward becoming a leader for diversity, equity, and inclusion, not only at Emory but also among academic radiology departments nationwide. The department celebrates this day annually; with the first Diversity Day on November 14, 2018.
Unconscious Bias Training Sessions
The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences, along with the School of Medicine, through its Office of Faculty Academic Advancement, Leadership and Inclusion (FAALI) are conducting Unconscious Bias Training sessions. During the interactive 45-minute session, individuals will become aware of sources of cognitive bias and learn intentional practices for disrupting their impact.
Medical School Symposium
Medical students from all over the state of Georgia gather in the School of Medicine once a year to learn more about radiology. Students from Emory, Medical College of Georgia, Morehouse School of Medicine, and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine gain insight about the field of radiology. The department's very own physicians provide information, answer questions, and encourage students on their medical journey.
Diversity Interview Days
Emory Radiology residents are as diverse as they are accomplished. Recruitment efforts include Diversity Interviewing Days, which highlight the ways Emory is an especially welcoming and diverse community of scholars. The days are popular and effective.

#EmoryRadSeesYou
#EmoryRadSeesYou is dedicated to highlighting as many members of our large department as possible by creatively sharing our stories through social media. The department wants to celebrate, appreciate, and raise awareness on what makes us unique through photos or micro-videos on social media. Radiology faculty and staff who are interested in participating may complete this survey.
