Community Radiology Specialists is the predominant provider of imaging services at Emory Johns Creek Hospital, Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital, and Emory's outpatient imaging centers in Cobb, Forsyth, and Henry counties. The division is poised to provide comprehensive coverage for other hospitals, outpatient imaging centers, and other ventures in the future. The division concentrates on providing outstanding customer service and subspecialized imaging expertise both for patients and referring physicians. Comprising subspecialty fellowship-trained, board-certified radiologists, emphasis is placed on clinical service with bidirectional use of PACS infrastructure to promote efficiency without sacrificing the quality of subspecialized interpretations. The division is vibrant, growing, and is playing an increasingly important role in imaging services across the greater Atlanta area.
Community Radiology Specialists
The Division of Community Radiology Specialists bring a multidisciplinary approach to imaging services in Emory's suburban hospitals while also providing additional support for Emory's intown hospitals and clinics. Faculty members are subspecialty trained and offer both diagnostic imaging as well as advanced image-guided procedures using state-of-the-art imaging technology and techniques.
Highlights and Accomplishments
Dr. Howard Fleishon currently serves as chair of the American College of Radiology Board of Chancellors.
Dr. Eric Friedberg serves as vice chair of the ACR Commission on General, Small, Emergency, and/or Rural Practice. He also serves as vice president of the Georgia Radiological Society and a member of the Board of Directors of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACGME). He also serves on the Emory University CME Advisory Board.
