Three physician residents and three medical physics residents were named winners of the Emory Department of Radiation Oncology's 25th Annual Resident Research Day. Brian Kavanaugh, MD, MPH/MSPH, a professor of radiation oncology at Anschutz Cancer Center at the University of Colorado, proctored the event, held virtually on September 15.
Resident Research Day is held each year to give residents the opportunity to present research they have been working on with a faculty mentor. Participating residents give a 10-minute presentation to an audience of Winship faculty, staff, and peers.
Emory Department of Radiation Oncology Chair, Jeff Bradley, MD, FACR, FASTRO, says, "It is an honor to support the research of our hard-working residents and their mentors. The annual Resident Research day is a fundamental part of the department’s efforts to educate the next generation of cancer investigators."
