Winship radiation oncology resident Neil Pfister, MD, PhD, was awarded the prestigious American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Conquer Cancer Foundation Young Investigator Award.

Winship Cancer Institute radiation oncology resident physician Neil Pfister, MD, PhD was awarded the prestigious American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Conquer Cancer Foundation Young Investigator Award. The award supports early career cancer investigators in their research during their transition from a training program to a faculty appointment.
Pfister will receive a one-year grant totaling $50,000 that will support his research in "Understanding and Exploiting EZH2 in Small Cell Lung Cancer".

We could not be more proud of Dr. Pfister for receiving the highly competitive Young Investigator Award from the ASCO Conquer Cancer Foundation."
Pfister joined more than two dozen Winship oncologists in presenting their research at the annual ASCO conference in Chicago, May 31 – June 4. He was honored at the Conquer Cancer Grants and Award Ceremony on Friday May 31st.
The Young Investigator Award has funded over 1,167 clinical investigators since 1984.
