Our Medical Physics Residency Program starts on July 1 of each year.
Program Requirements
In order to complete the program, the physics resident must successfully accomplish the following:
- Successfully complete the clinical rotations determined by the program
- Successfully complete the special training sessions and didactic courses including exams
Residents must:
- Pass quarterly clinical rotation evaluations
- Keep a documented log of conference attendance and procedure participation
- Pass Oral Examination to be held at the end of each year conducted by the Physics Faculty
Conference and Lectures Requirement
Residents are required to participate in the following conferences and special lectures:
- Weekly Chart Rounds
- Grand Rounds related to Radiation Oncology
- Resident Journal Club
- Site Specific Tumor Board (Brain, Head and Neck, Breast, GU)
Presentations Requirement
Residents are required to make at least five presentations per year on AAPM task group reports supervised by a mentor presented to:
- Physicists
- Physician residents
