Department Clinical Programs

Our Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences teams conduct a wide range of patient care and research in many psychiatry and neuroscience areas. This allows us to make significant contributions to our understanding and the treatment of mental disorders.

We provide specialized care for a full range of psychiatric and mental disorders. Our mental health services include many patient-focused centers and programs, all housed under the more comprehensive Brain Health Center.

Emory Addiction Center

Implementing a multidisciplinary treatment approach to managing substance use in individuals ages 14 and older.

Emory Autism Center

Focusing on producing and using knowledge, strategies and tools to improve the quality of life for each person served, while increasing the capacity for support.

Emory Child and Adolescent Mood Program

An interdisciplinary clinical research program aiming to provide and improve best practices for children and adolescents with mental health difficulties.

Child OCD Program at Emory

A telehealth-based intensive outpatient program for adolescents ages 12-18 with moderate to severe obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).

Emory Adult OCD & Anxiety Intensive Program

Offering a range of evidence-based treatment options, provided by psychologists, psychiatrists and social workers who are dedicated to improving quality of life for our patients and their families.

Clinical & Research Program for Psychosis at Grady

Provides evidence-based, clinical care and offers cutting-edge research opportunities for individuals with serious mental illness across the metro Atlanta area.

Fuqua Center for Late Life Depression

A Center for Excellence advancing advancing awareness and treatment by helping aging adults, family members and caregivers win the battle against late-life depression.

The Grady Trauma Project

A group of investigators studying civilian trauma, focusing on post-traumatic stress disorder and the clinical and physiological implications of trauma exposure.

Emory Healthcare Veterans Program

Treating conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, military sexual trauma, anxiety and depression related to military service.

Emory Center for Maternal Substance Abuse and Child Development

A multidisciplinary clinic dedicated to providing evaluation and intervention services to individuals exposed to substances in pregnancy.

The Nia Project

Empowering African American women survivors of abuse, experiencing suicidal thoughts to access behavioral health services, find a new sense of purpose, lead more meaningful lives and affirm their commitment to living a violence-free life.

Outpatient Psychotherapy Training Program

A psychotherapy service provided by psychiatry resident physicians and supervised by Emory faculty, offering evaluations and individual, couples and group therapy.

Parent Child Interaction Therapy

Offering clinical services to children ages 2 to 7 with disruptive behavior through 12 to 20 week evidence-based intervention using live coaching in a playroom environment.

PEACE for Moms

This free program provides perinatal psychiatric consultations and community resources to providers throughout the state of Georgia, treating pregnant or postpartum individuals.

Prolonged Exposure Consultant Training Program

Developing a national network of consultants to support providers in academic, community and private practice settings in the development of competencies in the delivery and implementation of PE with patients diagnosed with PTSD.

Resident Psycho-pharmacology Training Clinic

Delivering affordable, high quality medication management services for patients struggling with mental health illness, while providing a valuable educational experience for psychiatry residents at Emory University.

Supporting Parent Relationships with Infants Through Early Childhood

A clinic where families can learn to support healthy social-emotional development of their young children, ages 0-5.

Transitions Outpatient Behavioral Health Programs

Patients with needs somewhere in between inpatient admission and true outpatient care may find the help they need through these programs.

Trauma and Anxiety Recovery Program

Offering clinical and research services to individuals suffering from various anxiety disorders, including PTSD, phobias, OCD, panic disorder and other anxiety-related problems.

Treatment Resistant Depression Program

For patients currently under psychiatric care for depression, offering a complete evaluation for patients who have complicated and difficult-to-treat depression.

Women's Mental Health Program

An academic center of excellence for the psychiatric care of women, providing state-of-the-art care for mental illness in women with an emphasis on pregnancy, the postpartum period and breast-feeding.
