Joyce McLendon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Certified Diplomate, currently serving at Grady’s Behavioral Health Adult Outpatient clinic. For the past nine years, McLendon has managed several Specialty clinics such as the Intake and Assessment unit, Grady’s Early Treatment Program for young adults (Project Arrow), the Behavioral Health Call Center, Community Based Case Management & Intensive Case Management Programs and Grady’s Medication Assisted Outpatient Treatment Program for Opioid Use Disorders. Prior to Grady, she managed a Private Practice in the Buckhead District of Georgia for nearly a decade. She served as the Clinical Liaison Consultant for DeKalb’s Community Service Board and DeKalb’s Department of Children and Family Services. McLendon has also served on a macro level as the State Area Director for a private for-profit mental health organization. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received her BA in Psychology and Master of Social Work degrees. She also participated in a Fellows Certificate Program sponsored by UCLA and the Department of Children and Family Services which focused on Interventions in Child Maltreatment and Domestic Violence in Los Angeles.
