Description
The department is committed to a climate of inclusion and equity that leverages the diversity in our community and fosters the academic and leadership development of women and racial, ethic and cultural minorities who are under-represented in academic health sciences. We believe this will increase creativity, innovation, satisfaction and productivity, ultimately enhancing the quality of care, education and scholarship within the department. The Excellence in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award recognizes one faculty member each year who makes tangible and consistent contributions that ensure our department’s climate is inclusive and equitable.
