Andrea is a Texas native. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Chicago before matriculating to medical school at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. While in medical school, she enjoyed serving as a youth soccer coach. She led as president of United to Serve, an organization to teach high school students in the Dallas area about healthy living, and led a group to assist young adults with their spiritual journey. Andrea has a passion of mentorship as evident through her participation in the UT Southwestern’s Athlete Medical Mentoring Program and the Health Professions Recruitment and Exposure Program, where she provided guidance and served as a resource to students to build the pipeline of future health care professionals.
