She/Her/Hers
Lindsey earned her bachelor’s degree from UT Austin’s Plan II honors program, with thesis work entailing a rhetorical analysis of Italian newspaper articles from the 1960s-70s. At Baylor College of Medicine, she completed the Medical Ethics pathway. Her scholarly work has involved the intersection of faith and attitudes about family planning, family leave policies at Health Law programs, female genital mutilation in refugee populations, and cervical cancer screening for patients with disabilities. During medical school, she organized Finding Meaning in Medicine reflections sessions for medical students and oversaw student-led classes to improve health literacy in the greater Houston community. She also volunteered in the student-run free clinic. Her hobbies include running (3 half marathons!), yoga, cooking and traveling.
