Scott graduated Magna Cum Laude from The Ohio State University where he earned his bachelor’s degrees in economics as well as business administration with a concentration in finance. He went on to attend medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. While there he participated in the Clinician Executive Medicine Program, focusing on clinician leadership skills and complex leadership challenges within the healthcare system. He has volunteered with The Trevor Project as a counselor for youth-in-crisis and with a Chicago area LGBTQ+ community center. He earned a place in the competitive APA Medical Student Elective in HIV Psychiatry and published a case report and literature review surrounding futile care in surgical cases.
