Born and raised in Lebanon, Adam moved to Atlanta, GA with his family at 18 where he attended Georgia State University and majored in Neuroscience. After graduation, he worked as a social worker in a nonprofit that resettles refugees in Georgia, working primarily with Arabic-speaking refugees. He also worked as a research assistant in a lab that studies the evolution of decision-making and economic behavior among nonhuman primates before matriculating to the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine. During medical school, Adam demonstrated a continued commitment to working with underserved patients and was awarded the title of Vermont AHEC Scholar for his scholarly project on improving healthcare access and services to underprivileged communities. Adam was elected to the Gold Humanism Honor Society for his cultural competence, empathy, and compassion. In his spare time, Adam enjoys practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and exploring national parks.
