Sydnee graduated from Spelman College in Atlanta where she majored in psychology/pre-med. She then attended Duke University where she pursued a Master’s degree in biomedical sciences. Sydnee attended Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine where she served as the Vice President of the Psychiatry Student Interest Group and Co-President of Paths to Wellness, a student-run clinic serving Dayton’s underserved population. Sydnee is dedicated to community service and researched the classroom environmental factors within the public schools that perpetuate the white-black achievement gap, counseling low-income women on sexual health and helping children who have lost loved ones process their grief. She also has a passion for educating and mentoring and served as a writing tutor and also tutored low-income minority students in math and reading.
