Originally from Lawrenceville, GA, Mimi graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia where she studied biology and music. She then attended Emory for medical school, where she completed a combined MD/MPH, studying global epidemiology at Rollins School of Public Health. While at Emory Mimi volunteered with Street Medicine, a program which provides medical care to people experiencing homelessness in Atlanta. She was also engaged in education and mentorship, serving as a course representative for her class, a near-peer teacher to M3 students, and a longitudinal mentor to an undergraduate student. In her fourth year, Mimi was elected by her peers to the Gold Humanism Honor Society and served on the leadership board. Additionally, Mimi is a classically trained pianist, and in her free time she enjoys singing, reading, being outdoors, and spending time with her family and friends.
