EUPI is excited to announce our inaugural Fellowship Program in contemporary psychoanalysis and clinical practice. Sponsored by the Catherine Shropshire Hardman Philanthropy Fund, Fellows will attend eight, two-hour presentations by Institute faculty in 2023 (February – May; August – November), with the intent of educating a multidisciplinary group of clinicians about the evolving world of psychoanalysis, and especially its relevance to psychotherapy.
Topics include: therapist’s use of self; using transference phenomena to help patients understand the origins of their interpersonal patterns; effective use of countertransference in psychotherapy; supporting and nurturing the patient’s tendrils of personal growth; how arrests in emotional development inform and affect treatment and the personal growth of a psychodynamic clinician. Fellows receive CE credit for each presentation attended.
