Overview and Goals
One of the missions of Emory’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is to facilitate faculty, trainees and staff in becoming leaders in education. To this end, the department has included in its strategic intent efforts to (a) support the career growth of faculty, staff and trainees, (b) design and/or adopt innovative educational techniques and programs and (c) advance international educational collaborations. To help realize the department’s mission and plan, a committee of faculty and trainees was formed to develop a website that highlights original educational and training materials/resources produced by faculty and trainees in our department.
The goals of the Psychiatry Department’s Education Resources website are as follows:
- To highlight creative, informative and innovative trainee- and faculty-developed materials intended for the greater academic community
- To provide sample materials to teach best practices in psychiatry and psychology
- To guide educators who need help in developing innovative courses and programs
- To provide guides and resources for diverse learners and consumers
- To create a list of educational resources for trainees and faculty
Please note that this webpage is dynamic; it will be continuously updated as new materials are developed and submitted.
