In August 2022, Todd E. Golde, MD, PhD, was appointed Professor of Pharmacology and Chemical Biology with a secondary appointment in the Department of Neurology and as the new director of the Emory Center for Neurodegenerative Disease (CND) in the Goizueta Institute @ Emory Brain Health. Since arriving at Emory he has been named Emory's newest GRA Scholar. Dr. Golde came to Emory from the University of Florida where he was Director of the Evelyn F. and William L. McKnight Brain Institute (MBI).
An international expert in the scientific understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases, Dr. Golde will expand Emory’s translational research for the development of new therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases, while facilitating interdisciplinary research in neuroinflammation, bridging the neuroscience and immunology communities.
