Dr. Golde’s lab constantly tries to frame their research with the question: Why have our efforts to develop novel therapies for Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders been so unsuccessful?
Current Research Themes and Goals
The Golde Lab is part of the Department of Pharmacology and Chemical Biology
The Golde Lab rAAV “toolkit” our technology accelerator
A translatable discovery engine that helps to test new ideas in an accelerated timeline, for a fraction of resources and time required for other methodologies. Utilizes the vector of choice for current human gene therapies.
We have collaborated with nearly a hundred labs to support their work with rAAV vectors.
Almost all of our studies incorporate rAAV vectors to either model disease or explore disease modifying therapeutic targets.
