Ray Dingledine Award for Research Impact in Pharmacology and Chemical Biology
Purpose: Support individuals within or associated with the Department of Pharmacology and Chemical Biology in recognition of exceptional research developments or discoveries.
Dr. Dingledine is a current Professor at Emory’s Department of Pharmacology and Chemical Biology. He served as Chair of the Department for 25 years, as Executive Associate Dean for Research in Emory’s School of Medicine for 11 years, and is recognized nationally as a leader in academia and industry. In addition, Dr. Dingledine has mentored hundreds of trainees and consistently supported student and faculty research and innovation. This fund honors Dr. Dingledine’s outstanding legacy of service to Emory University and his passion for promoting exceptional research.
Jyh-Fa Kuo Fund for Pharmacology and Chemical Biology
Purpose: JF Kuo Fund to inspire research and innovation for future medicine
Dr. Jyh-Fa Kuo, a professor emeritus of the department, is a pioneer in the field of signal transduction with particular contributions to the regulation of protein kinases. The fund honors Dr. Kuo’s impact on biomedical research through an annual lecture event with thought leaders sharing with us foundations of human diseases and potential strategies for pharmacological interventions. It is a platform to stimulate new ideas and inspire young scientists.
