Andrew is a 3rd year pediatrics resident interested in PHM. He is currently working on a project that he was awarded a CATCH grant for regarding safe sleep with immigrant and refugee populations in the greater Atlanta area.
Second Year Residents
Olivia Hobson, MD
Olivia is passionate about studying, addressing, and advocating for the issues faced by underserved communities- specifically, social determinants of health. In doing so, she hopes to create programs and/or policies that can build brighter futures and create equity for our little ones.
Kelly Liu, MD
Kelly's advocacy interests include firearm safety and nutrition.
Emily Sterling, MD
During medical school, Emily joined RESULTS, a group that fought for anti-poverty legislation. She fell in love with patient advocacy on the community, national, and global levels. She joined PEACHES to continue championing important legislation that will affect her patients tomorrow, while also implementing local initiatives to provide helpful solutions today.
Jaquelin Soli Solis, MD
Being involved with the PEACHES track during residency will allow Jaquelin to support and work for her community. She is interested in collaborating with different community partners to improve the current care and needs that they are receiving and fostering a sense of unity. Her areas of interest are: immigrant health, healthcare disparities, SBHCs, mentorship.
Past PEACHES Participants
Heather Hirsch, MD (2023-2024)
Dr. Hirsch's project focused on the hospital system's method of social determinant of health (SDH) screening. Current patient intake does not address firearm access/safe storage even though firearms are now the number one cause of pediatric death in the US. Dr. Hirsch’s project was to implement a firearm storage screening project.
