Message from the Vice Chair of Education

Education comprises a core mission for the Department of Pediatrics at Emory University. As one of our nation's leading academic medical centers, Emory fosters close ties between our healthcare, research, and educational missions, allowing students, residents and fellows to learn in a cutting-edge training environment. Our clinical partner, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA), comprises one of the nation's largest pediatric healthcare systems, providing trainees the dual advantages of exposure to high volumes of medical conditions while working with an exceptionally diverse patient population.

Residency in Pediatrics

Our general pediatric training program covers four hospitals and two health systems in the healthcare hub of Atlanta, providing a huge range of diverse clinical experiences.

Kathelen and Dan Amos Medical Student Loan Forgiveness Program: Improving Access to Primary Care in Georgia

Emory medical students and recent MD graduates who choose a primary care career in pediatrics, medicine, family medicine, or geriatrics and commit to practicing in Georgia may be eligible for The Kathelen and Dan Amos Medical Student Loan Forgiveness Program: Improving Access to Primary Care in Georgia. This program offers $40,000 awards per year and up to $160,000 maximum.
