Establishing a Role for Capsule Endoscopy in the Management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) in Pediatric Patients
Study is being conducted to show whether capsule endoscopy leads to an improved clinical recognition of small bowel disease in pediatric IBD compared to standard diagnostic methods. Enrollment is limited to participants whose age is between age 10 to 21
Phase ½ Safety, Pharmacokinetic, Pharmacodynamic Study of Sargramostim (Leukine ®) in Pediatric Patients with Active Crohn's Dis
Study is being conducted to determine if Leukine ® is helpful in easing the symptoms of Crohn's disease in children when given by itself or in combination with corticosteroids. Open enrollment for children age 6 to 16. Currently seeking additional children age 12 to 16 on current corticosteroids therapy and children age 6 to 11 both on and off of corticosteroids therapy. Leukine® works to increase the number of white blood cells which play an important role in immune system function.
Pediatric Database Study
As part of a multicenter consortium, pediatric researchers at Children's and EmoryUniversity have created the largest shared patient registry of children suffering from IBD. The IBD registry and associated study will help doctors understand the characteristics of IBD in children of all age groups, particularly very young patients, and improve treatment for children suffering from IBD
