Mone completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Emory University in 2019. She first started working in clinical research as a student intern in the Emory Division of Pediatric Nephrology. She became a full-time team member with the Nephrology team in 2019 and started working with the Endocrinology team in the same year. Mone serves as the regulatory coordinator for a variety of studies that examine type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH), Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) and growth hormone deficiency. Outside of work hours, Mone enjoys hiking, volunteering and spending time with friends and family.
With formal training as a medical assistant and currently pursuing a nursing degree, Amber began her career into the medical field in various clinics in Missouri. Her vast experience with family and general medicine brought her to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta as a medical assistant in the clinics assisting with the care of pediatric patients in the specialties of nephrology, diabetes/endocrinology, gastroenterology, and rheumatology. In a move to expand her impact in the clinical research aspect of diabetes care and prevention, Amber became a coordinator for the Emory Children’s Center in the pediatric diabetes/endocrinology research division.
Lynette González began working on clinical trials in March 2019. She began her career in an OB / GYN practice, where she began conducting female studies in Endometriosis, Uterine Fibroids, Urinary Tract Infections, Candida Infection, and Hot Flashes.
Lynette joined Emory's team in September 2020. Working for Emory in the Department of Pediatric Endocrinology allows her to do two things she loves: research and working with children. She is currently conducting studies related to Type 1 Diabetes and Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia. She puts great dedication into her work, as she recognizes the trust placed in her by her study participants and because she is passionate about patient care.
Xiaomiao Lan-Pidhainy holds a PhD in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Toronto and a BSN from Emory University Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing. She is a Registered Nurse and worked at the Solid Organ Transplant Unit at Emory University Hospital for 2 years prior to joining the team. She has rich research experience across industry and academia in the area of diabetes. When she was a Nutrition Scientist in the Department of Research and Development at PepsiCo Inc., she regularly wrote literature reviews, designed clinical research protocols and conducted oral presentations on nutrition, clinical and regulatory affairs for both internal and external scientists. She has also previously worked as a Teaching/Research Fellow at Cornell University where she conducted diabetes and nutrition related research.
