3 Tiers of the Emory Hand & Upper Extremity Center
- Center of excellence for the treatment of hand, elbow, and shoulder problems in patients from all over the southeastern United States
- More than 15,000 patients treated and 5,000 surgeries performed annually
- Serves as a tertiary referral center for complex upper extremity pathologies and failed prior surgeries
- Consistently recognized as the top educators within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Emory
- Our faculty are devoted to constantly improving upper extremity education for fellows, residents, and medical students
- Multiple faculty members speak every year and are leaders at national and international meetings, including the ASSH, AAOS, ASPS, AAHS/ASPN, and ASES.
- The upper extremity division at Emory publishes more than 50 peer-reviewed publications annually on various topics in upper extremity surgery.
- The faculty are involved in multiple active clinical trials spanning the entire upper extremity, aimed at answering the toughest questions our field faces.

- Program Director (two 1 month rotations): Emory Upper Extremity Center
- Elective hand/wrist surgery, peripheral nerve, and microsurgery (two 1 month rotations): Emory Upper Extremity Center
- Shoulder, elbow, wrist, and thumb arthroscopy and reconstruction (two 1 month rotations): Emory Upper Extremity Center
- Trauma, brachial plexus and microsurgery (two 1 month rotations): Grady Trauma Center
- Private Practice (two 1 month rotations): Georgia Hand, Shoulder and Elbow Center
- Congenital hand and brachial plexus (1 month rotation): CHOA and Shepherd Center
- International rotation (1 month rotation)
