Program Overview
The program is structured to develop and strengthen the APP’s proficiencies within the clinical and surgical setting, while developing collaborative communication qualities within a team of well-rounded healthcare providers. Graduates transition to practice with the expertise necessary to deliver quality patient care at the top of their licensure.
The Orthopaedic and Spine Fellowship’s innovative curriculum covers the entire spectrum of the musculoskeletal system, including overuse injuries, through surgical emergencies.
Fellows have exposure to the care of orthopedic and spine patients in both the clinical and surgical settings with rotations through subspecialized clinics, allowing them to cultivate knowledge of specific orthopedic pathologies spanning the entire musculoskeletal system from the foot to the cervical spine. The well-rounded and all-inclusive fellowship experience includes participation in closely related services such as rheumatology, infectious disease, neurology, pain management and plastic surgery.
The fellowship experience is comprised of a didactic bootcamp, core clinical rotations, direct patient care, specialty rotations, procedure training, grand rounds and case presentations. The comprehensive post-graduate approach offers the advantage of a guided learning experience and direct patient care within a protected learning environment, which increases provider confidence and awards a smooth transition to practice.
