Didactic Bootcamp
The didactic bootcamp will be 2 weeks intensive classroom learning. There will be lectures from APPs, Physicians, Physical and Occupational Therapists, as well as billing and coding specialist. Fellows will leave the bootcamp with a better understanding orthopedic anatomy, history taking, physical exam skills and procedural skills.
Clinical Rotations
Clinical rotations will compose the rest of the 12 weeks program. Fellows will spend rotating through the below name specialties. Fellows will be supported and trained as they learn to function as independent providers. Their duties will include examining patients, diagnosing, order and interpreting advanced imaging and executing treatment plans – to include medication prescribing, casting/splinting, joint injections/aspiration, and first assisting in the operating room.

Fellowship Graduate Competencies
- Orthopedic Physical Exam
- Develop appropriate treatment plans, conservative and surgical.
- Joint and tendon injections/Aspirations
- Advanced imaging and diagnostics interpretations (X-Rays, MRI, CT, EMG and Labs)
- Casting and splinting
- Fracture Care
- Operating room set up, patient positioning and first assist duties
- Surgical wound closure, dressing and wound vac management
