The Emory University Adult Reconstruction Surgery Fellowship offers specialized orthopaedic surgery experience featuring advanced training in all aspects of both uncomplicated and complex problems of the hip and knee. Fellows are exposed to a wide variety of surgical techniques, approaches, methods and implant technologies. Experience in minimally invasive and alternative approaches to the hip and knee (which includes direct anterior approach for primary and revision total hip arthroplasty), outpatient hip and knee arthroplasty, unicondylar knee replacement (robotic‐assisted and manual), hip resurfacing, periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) management, periprosthetic fracture management, and all types of revision hip and revision knee replacement. There is full exposure to robotic‐assisted surgery in both primary and revision cases.
Fellows will function as a Senior Associate in the Department of Orthopaedics, thus having full clinical and operative privileges. Fellows will be active clinically with a high-volume surgical experience and function as an educator in the department with the expectation of teaching residents in the clinic and operating room. The fellowship will also include weekly conferences, journal club and research opportunities.
Applicants must have successfully completed a U.S. or Canadian Orthopaedic Residency training program and be Board eligible as well as have the ability to obtain a full-unrestricted Georgia medical license and DEA.
