Current Projects
Smart DBS Programming
The goal of this project is to develop smart programming using existing technologies and/or devices. In addition, we will develop noninvasive monitoring and data mining with the goal of building an expert system for programming. Optimizing existing technology is the primary focus of this project.
Working at the Brain Machine Interface
The goal of this project is to develop “smart” direct recordings of the nervous system to do diagnosis and observe brain functioning. One of the projects aims is to understand how electrical stimulus interacts with the tissue with the goal of developing novel stimulation techniques.
