Emory accepts visiting students year-round to rotate for four weeks with the Department of Neurosurgery. Leading up to residency applications and interviews, we accept up to five students per month from May through October. Students are selected for rotation based on the same qualifications used to determine if they will receive an interview offer (except for letters of recommendation). For upcoming fourth-year medical students who wish to spend a month with our department, we encourage you to apply through the Visiting Student Learning Opportunities (VSLO), which is open for submission in early spring. The elective name is Su14. Unfortunately, due to onboarding requirements, we are only able to accept domestic students.
