How to Support Our Programs

The Emory Department of Family and Preventive Medicine welcomes financial support for projects that serve the community, our patients, and our current and future trainees, as well as promote community-based primary care, Family Medicine, Preventive Medicine, and the Physician Assistant professions.

PA Program Annual Heel to Heal 5K

Emory’s first-year PA class sponsors this 5K Run every spring to raise funds for non-profit partners that provide compassionate healthcare to those who otherwise would not have access such as:

The Emory Farmworker Project
HEALing Community Center
Good Samaritan Health Center

As the name implies, it is a ‘fun run’ with lots of fun activities. This annual event takes place in April and was started in 2001. It has several corporate sponsors and raises a significant amount of money for its causes.
